Glad we did it early in our stay as we learned a lot that enhanced the rest of our stay. Steve was an awesome storyteller and Justin was great at the facts. Perfect balance. We covered a lot of ground and they kept us engaged through out the 3.5 hours. History, culture, art, architecture…a bit of everything…And recommendations that we went back to and explored deeper over the rest of our stay. Lovely finish up at the end at an Oceanside bar for a wee drink as well. This is a professional, well thought out tour with guides that care about the people they take on tour. They kept the group small, which was awesome. Made sure we were comfortable, answered questions along the way, and offered personal recommendations for follow up. Our tour guide Justin was both knowledgeable and fantastic company . He incorporated quizzes and games along the way ( I loved the food roulette) and had so much background on the food we tested and the restaurant we went to . There was also lots of food and some yummy Thai drinks. The Thai bar recommendation was also unexpected and just delightful. I highly recommend this your . Sick of just heading somewhere local (we live in Camden) eating, talking about our kid and running back home 😂 Justin took us through Thai Town in Sydney and it was so great! Good food (so good), great knowledge and some fun games. It was really nice having other people in the group to chat with, learning about the community and did I mention the food? We are booking in to the China Town Tour next 🤔 or was it the bar tour? Either way we will be back as it’s a 10/10 date night and an easy way to be a tourist at home. - Lockie Hunter22/10/2024This is a review of the ultimate Sydney walking tour. Dan was so engaging! You could tell he really knew his history. We’ve been on several walking tours in several different countries, and this was one of our favorites. Dan’s personality was amazing, but he also really knew his history, and it was so clear that he loved the history of the place. He just was beaming when he was telling the stories. Everything was so engaging. He was the perfect combination of enthusiasm and knowledge, and he brought a great energy to the tour. I guess more importantly, though I think he handled the sensitive topics of the first nations and the troubled history of race relations, and Australia with great sensitivity and clarity and grace. I’m a writer, and we often talk about the idea of who owns the story and who’s allowed to tell the story. And Dan was so respectful in telling us some broad strokes First Nation narratives, but then saying that he did not feel that he could speak further for the First Nation’s people. That’s a very high-level understanding and respect for a culture. Really well done! I also really loved some of the odd stops, such as the graffiti art, and diving into the history there. The tour was such a great mix of culture and walking, and it seemed that in every spot Dan had stories. He really researched things before he told us what was happening. And when he wasn’t sure about something, he would let us know. He would say that it wasn’t confirmed, but it was something that he heard. Which is also super respectful of history. So many tour guides will just repeat something they heard as fact. Whereas Dan really does his research! He was very open and encouraging to questions and even promised a reward if anyone could stump him with a question he did not know the answer to, and he was thoroughly delighted when we actually came up with one on our group. He was excited to have something new to research and learn. It is so clear that Dan is really proud of Sydney! And again, his enthusiasm, his smile, his genuine warmth and love of being a tour guide just shown so brightly! Kudos Dan for a great day! Plus she has so much insight and background on the artists, the meaning of the art work, and the history surrounding it. The food was amazing too. I have never had Turkish Ice Cream but I will definitely be seeking it out after this tour. As a walking tour this is a great mix of historical colonial sites as well as Indigenous history together with interesting anecdotes with a bit of bird watching thrown in (kookaburras in the Botanic gardens).
Daniel also shared some bar/restaurant tips and made sure over the 3 hours we had time for coffee and quick visit to the nicest loos in Sydney.

Justin did an outstanding job on Highlighting the History of the Aborginal people in the Early days of its founding to the City of Sydney that most locals and Tourists are aware of today, while highlighting some of the more off the beaten sights in Sydney. I especially enjoyed the QVB and the Strand Arcades along with some of the more off the Path Hotels and Dives in the Rocks. The Doss House and Fortune of Wars I Highly Recommend.
