Justin and Steve co-hosted as guides on this tour. Personable, knowledgeable and thoughtful. Great tour. Well worth doing. Glad we did it early in our stay as we learned a lot that enhanced the rest of our stay. Steve was an awesome storyteller and Justin was great at the facts. Perfect balance. We covered a lot of ground and they kept us engaged through out the 3.5 hours. History, culture, art, architecture…a bit of everything…And recommendations that we went back to and explored deeper over the rest of our stay. Lovely finish up at the end at an Oceanside bar for a wee drink as well. This is a professional, well thought out tour with guides that care about the people they take on tour. They kept the group small, which was awesome. Made sure we were comfortable, answered questions along the way, and offered personal recommendations for follow up. Andrew was an excellent guide and did well during our secret bar crawl! I could have never found these local gems in Sydney, and the information we received during the evening gave us a better idea of the places we visited. I recommend this if you’re new to the city and want to discover local bars!

this was a fabulous tour and Eddie our guide was awesome, had great knowledge about chinatown & it’s history and the history of the chinese australians. The food stops were delicious , i’m actually a local from Sydney and would definitely do this tour again.

Yesterday I had a wonderful tour through Newtown, hearing the interesting stories behind the street art and tasting some really delicious food. I normally drive straight through Newtown so it was such a delight to walk around getting to know this quirky suburb. Our guide, Daniel was very personable and had the true gift of story telling- he made our day!!!! Thank you Daniel!!

This tour was so worth it! Loved all the little details Daniel knew about, regarding the spots we visited, or the actual history involved. It was interesting and funny and fun. Really nice to finish the whole thing with an awesome taste of locally brewed beer. Daniel definitely made it worthwhile, also because he proofed to be really knowledgeable. I can recommend!

Wow what an amazing tour of Sydney. We have visited Sydney on a number of occasions but today we visited places we have never been and learned things we didn’t know. Daniel was an enthusiastic knowledgable and friendly guide who obviously has a deep love of history and the history of his city and this shone through as he shared knowledge with us. Daniel ensured that he got to know the people on his tour and encouraged people to ask questions and share their knowledge. If you want to learn more about Sydney this is the tour to take. The home made Anzac biscuits were fantastic as well! Thanks Daniel.

We had a brilliant historical tour of Sydney this morning, our guide Dan was amazing, he had a superb local knowledge and made the whole tour a very entertaining and interesting experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in the early years of this great city.

my partner and I did a thaitown tour and absolutely loved it, we had a blast, ate plenty of food from all different parts of thai cuisine and very knowledgeable we will definitely be coming back to do the Chinatown one

Fantastic tour of Thaitown in Sydney ( hidden gem ) ! Our tour guide Justin was both knowledgeable and fantastic company . He incorporated quizzes and games along the way ( I loved the food roulette) and had so much background on the food we tested and the restaurant we went to . There was also lots of food and some yummy Thai drinks. The Thai bar recommendation was also unexpected and just delightful. I highly recommend this your . I live in Sydney and did not know the area ! It’s a great date night idea as well. I will be booking more tours with Local Sauce ! What a great concept.

My husband and I opted for the Thai Town Tour as a date night. Sick of just heading somewhere local (we live in Camden) eating, talking about our kid and running back home 😂 Justin took us through Thai Town in Sydney and it was so great! Good food (so good), great knowledge and some fun games. It was really nice having other people in the group to chat with, learning about the community and did I mention the food? We are booking in to the China Town Tour next 🤔 or was it the bar tour? Either way we will be back as it’s a 10/10 date night and an easy way to be a tourist at home. Thanks Justin!

I’m a local but I brought my friend from USA along on this tour and we both loved it. Our guide (Dan) was so knowledgable and patient with us..we asked lots of questions. I learnt lots about my city that I did not know and my friend saw Sydney as she never would have just hanging out with me. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike.

I did the secret pub crawl in the CBD area on Tuesday nights, and Justin went above and beyond from making sure we were able to find the meeting spot, to ensuring we all had a good time. He has a wealth of information and gave us great stories and tidbits of information along the way. He pointed out and took us to great spots I never would have found doing my own research. 10/10 recommended, and I’ll likely do other tours offered by the company. Thanks again!

This is a review of the ultimate Sydney walking tour. Dan was so engaging! You could tell he really knew his history. We’ve been on several walking tours in several different countries, and this was one of our favorites. Dan’s personality was amazing, but he also really knew his history, and it was so clear that he loved the history of the place. He just was beaming when he was telling the stories. Everything was so engaging. He was the perfect combination of enthusiasm and knowledge, and he brought a great energy to the tour. I guess more importantly, though I think he handled the sensitive topics of the first nations and the troubled history of race relations, and Australia with great sensitivity and clarity and grace. I’m a writer, and we often talk about the idea of who owns the story and who’s allowed to tell the story. And Dan was so respectful in telling us some broad strokes First Nation narratives, but then saying that he did not feel that he could speak further for the First Nation’s people. That’s a very high-level understanding and respect for a culture. Really well done! I also really loved some of the odd stops, such as the graffiti art, and diving into the history there. The tour was such a great mix of culture and walking, and it seemed that in every spot Dan had stories. He really researched things before he told us what was happening. And when he wasn’t sure about something, he would let us know. He would say that it wasn’t confirmed, but it was something that he heard. Which is also super respectful of history. So many tour guides will just repeat something they heard as fact. Whereas Dan really does his research! He was very open and encouraging to questions and even promised a reward if anyone could stump him with a question he did not know the answer to, and he was thoroughly delighted when we actually came up with one on our group. He was excited to have something new to research and learn. It is so clear that Dan is really proud of Sydney! And again, his enthusiasm, his smile, his genuine warmth and love of being a tour guide just shown so brightly! Kudos Dan for a great day! Oh, he also made us cookies!

I had a blast in two tours at Local Sauce, one was the Historical tour and the pub walk, both were amazing and in special our guide Dan that have lots of knowledge to share and always explain with a smile in his face!
